Hello! I'm Barbara, or “Barb”, the proud founder of Furry Getaway. At 30 years old, my lifelong love for animals and dedication to their well-being inspired me to turn my passion into a business. With years of experience in animal care, beginning with my very first job as a pet sitter at just 12 years old, I have cultivated a deep understanding of the needs and quirks of our furry companions.

Barb is not only a great pet caregiver,
she is a delightful, patient, and
thoughtful person. She cared for our
highs energy, newly adopted pup on a
(rainy) holiday and we came home to a
peacefully sleeping doggo. Can’t

Barbara is the absolute best!! Do not
hesitate to book her! She is super sweet, very intentional, and communicative throughout the process and during the drop-ins! The ease I had from when I met her throughout my time away out of the country for a long period of time allowed me to enjoy my trip! My cats were very spoiled by her, and I could tell they were very loved, and I’m beyond grateful! Will definitely rebook her without any
